Partners In Travel will entice aspiring travel agents with a series of introductory seminars held across the country. The brief sessions will explain how a person can start their own travel business from home with the support of the Carlson Host agency. The first Partners In Travel seminar will be held in Indianapolis on Jan. 20 with more dates and cities to be announced soon.
Unlike many Host agencies, Partners In Travel welcomes people who are new to the travel industry into their home-based program. Their new agent program starts with an extensive initial training and continues educating the agents through relevant live online classes. New agents also receive unlimited guidance and support from the experienced Partners In Travel training staff.
“Some of our top-selling agents started out with no experience in the travel industry,” said Jody Ryland, Business Development Manager for Partners In Travel. “It’s a fun and exciting business to be in and the best part is you can work at home in your pajamas if you want.”
“After looking into the industry and the cost, I was very surprised that there was an economical and smarter way to become a travel agent,” said Partner Deborah Frost of Georgia. “I now am able to book travel for my customers and keep my overhead to a minimum. This is the most fun I have ever had at a job!”
In addition to offering agents the opportunity to earn up to 100% of their commissions, Partners In Travel provides their Partners with innovative booking technology, marketing assistance, a complimentary consumer Web site and access to exclusive Carlson group space. A new marketing initiative allows an agent to customize the company’s quarterly brochure highlighting exclusive vacation packages with their own contact information to send off to their clients.
During the seminars, Ryland and other Partners In Travel professionals will explain to the entrepreneurs how they can start building their businesses through organizing group travel for local organizations in their community. “It’s not hard to do – you just need to get your name out there and develop relationships with travelers in your own community,” said Ryland.
