CIE's Italy Group Travel Planner
Building on 74 years as a leading tour operator to Ireland and Britain, CIE Tours International has expanded into Italy for 2006 for individual and group business. To assist agents achieve more group sales to Italy, CIE Tours International has launched Italy — 2006 Group Travel Planner, outlining easy-to-book itineraries for groups on scheduled or customized tours.
These programs are ideal for agents to sell group travel to community organizations, colleges and universities, social and culture clubs, churches and other groups. Agents can earn up to $20,000 plus three complimentary places. Prices include accommodations at first class or superior first class hotels in rooms with private bath/shower, most meals, fully escorted sightseeing program, admission charges, and more — all for the one basic price.
The scheduled itinerary choices include:
Italian Heritage — an 8-day/6-night overview of central Italy, starting in Venice and finishing in Rome, with visits to Assisi, Siena, Florence and Bologna. The price, which starts at $1,775 for land, includes superior first class hotels for 6 nights (relaxing 2-night stays in Venice, Florence and Rome), six buffet breakfasts and four dinners including a farewell dinner at a restaurant in Rome, professional English-speaking tour escort, locally-guided walking tours in all cities and complete sightseeing program with paid admissions. Departures are on Sundays, April 9 to Nov. 26.
Italian Tradition — an 11-day/10-night vacation covers the same highlights as the "Italian Heritage" plus an extra day/night in Rome and two days/nights in Sorrento. Additional sightseeing includes a ferry ride to Capri and cable car ride to Anacapri with local guide, and visits to Monte Cassino and Pompeii. Prices start at $2,398 for land only.
In addition to these scheduled tours, CIE Tours will also design customized group tours for a minimum of 20 passengers. Itineraries can be designed according to various themes such as the Holy Places of Italy or geographic areas such as the Umbrian & Tuscan countryside, as well as wine tasting, gourmet foods, designer shopping, or historic sites.
Irish Spirit — Value-for-Money Tour
Accentuating the affordability of a trip to Ireland in 2006, CIE Tours International is offering a fully escorted 8-day "Irish Spirit" tour priced from $950 including airfare from New York or Boston, or from $972 from Chicago. Departures run weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays through Dec. 6th.
