Uniglobe Offers
A Diversity of
Host Agency Programs
By George Dooley
Uniglobe Travel is marking its 25th anniversary with a diversity of Host agency programs that have grown to include 350 users of its Host Agency and Central Processing Unit (CPU).
Uniglobe’s CPU has been providing hosting services to the agency community since 1995 and closed out 2005 with combined sales by CPU agencies in the U.S. of $60 million. Total Uniglobe sales, including its global network of franchise agencies, is estimated at $2.1 billion.
Uniglobe was one of the first agency groups to use Internet-based GDS access to deliver cost-effective “central processing” for agents. With its acquisition by Uniglobe Travel USA in 1998, the programs and services of the CPU were expanded to include the considerable buying power of the worldwide Uniglobe Travel network.
All of Uniglobe’s leisure programs are powered by Vacation.com through an alliance that is now entering its third year. The alliance allows members of each organization to benefit from each other’s respective marketing arrangements and expertise.
In addition, Uniglobe ’s CPU is the Host agency/fulfillment center for the Amadeus’ Agenta program. Agenta is a comprehensive Amadeus Workplace Solution that offers small travel agency owners, Home Based and Independent agents the opportunity to better manage their business by transferring their traditional ticket fulfillment over to centralized processing.
Uniglobe now has three different Uniglobe Host Agency programs, including:
Uniglobe InHouse (UIH): UIH is designed for corporate Home Based agents who form a network of independent travel agents who take advantage of a centralized travel operations system, network communications and a powerful marketing and sales system to maximize their business potential. Uniglobe InHouse offers a complete range of leisure and corporate marketing tools, back office technology solutions, 24/7 rescue line and the TelePro prospecting program for further developing your client base and growing your business.
The second program, ProCentral, is designed for leisure Home Based or store-front agents. ProCentral Hosting includes private, secure Internet-based GDS access, automated quality control ticketing, document processing, ARC/CLIA/IATA reporting, merchant services, commission and revenue tracking, real time agent and client reporting and training support.
The third program, ProCentral Tour/Cruise, focuses on agents who do not need a GDS. The program was developed for those agents who want to focus on the cruise only, tour only or combined cruise/tour market. No GDS requirements are needed. Many of the same ProCentral programs and benefits are available to this segment.
