Insight Vacations’ new 2006 USA & Canada touring program features 13 premium North American escorted vacations that represent new profit opportunities for travel agents — including Home Based agents. Insight Vacations’ North American programs bring the same commitment to quality that has made Insight Europe’s largest premium escorted tour operator.
Innovation
The 2006 program includes changes based on customer feedback and a commitment to offering new options attractive to consumers. Much of the program is new, with a number of old favorite itineraries carefully revamped to ensure the highest quality and value.
“The vast majority of passengers on our North American tours had been Australian. Typically the tours were a bit too long for the American traveler. With feedback from travel agents, including some of our top accounts, we decided to develop itineraries that would better suit the American market. As a global brand it is most important that we release a program which offers the greatest level of service at the best possible value,” said Marc Kazlauskas, President of Insight.
Originally, Insight Vacations’ North American program was positioned as part of Insight’s SuperSaver product line. However, in 2005 it was enhanced and repositioned as a premium standard product.
“Last season, we launched a completely upgraded program offering consumers a premium product range to satisfy demand.” Kazlauskas said.
New Itineraries
“These changes really set Insight Vacations apart from the market, offering 40-seat coaches for more comfort and legroom, itineraries offering extra leisure time, superior accommodation with first class and deluxe accommodate in city centers. Scenic lodges are also featured, including the Fairmont Banff Springs, historic Emerald Lake Lodge in Yoho National Park as well as more sightseeing included in the tour price,” Kazlauskas said.
This year, Insight Vacations offers new tours, new sightseeing and cruise options.
New to the 2006 brochure is the 8-day New England’s Spectacular Fall Foliage tour, which runs in September and October, highlighting the colorful foliage of the region. Fall Foliage was part of the North American SuperSaver tour offering, but has now been upgraded and is part of the new touring line.
Also new is the 7-day Enchanting Canyonlands, which visits the U.S. West Coast national parks, including Bryce Canyon and Grand Canyon.
New Rail Options
Insight Vacations is also pleased to offer travelers a choice of rail options in Canada. In addition to the Rocky Mountaineer’s Redleaf and Goldleaf service, Insight is also offering the unique VIA Rail’s “The Canadian” Silver and Blue class service. VIA Rail boasts a restored art-deco style, a dining car offering specially prepared meals, a Skyline car with 360 degree views and Mural Lounge famous for its Canadian art collection.
“What is most interesting is that we just formally introduced the USA & Canada brochure in February and we are already experiencing a dramatic increase in bookings. As with our European itineraries, I strongly urge agents to book their clients as early as possible to avoid the disappointment of sold out departures,” Kazlauskas added.
