Home Based Seminar at C-A-T
The Home Based Success Series is heading to Vancouver to team up with the ever popular and highly anticipated Travel Trade 24th Annual CRUISE-A-THON June 2-5.
Participants in the Home Based Success Series seminars will learn how to build a successful group business.
The Home Based Success Series will take place on Thursday, June 1, at the Pan Pacific Hotel from 8 a.m. to noon. The seminars provide a gold mine of information in a highly lucrative market segment, according to NACTA president Joanie Ogg.
NACTA and NEST (Network of Entrepreneurs Selling Travel) partnered with Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, and The Globus Family of Brands to produce the series.
Speakers at the seminar include:
• Ogg, president of NACTA and Travelsellers.com, will provide “incredibly great group ideas that will deliver the highest satisfaction and the highest profits from your group business”;
• Stuart Cohen, MCC, senior VP, NEST, will deliver “the Absolute Essentials of Successful Group Sales, a presentation that promises to rock your business”;
• Cris DeSouza, channel strategy manager-Home Based agencies, Royal Caribbean/Celebrity Cruises, will “educate and entertain” agents by demonstrating “CruisingPower’s Home Based Portal”;
• And, Alleigh Grieder, Home Based channel manager, The Globus Family of Brands, will offer an “A-to-Z workshop on extreme profits selling escorted tour and river cruise groups.”
All Home Based agency owners, staff travel agents, and outside agents — regardless of their affiliation with any consortium or association — are invited to the seminar.

The Host Agency Summit Panel will feature the top executives of the industry’s leading Host Agencies. The panel discussion will be followed by individual sessions between ICs and Host agencies. There will also be a series of workshops focused on Home Based agent issues.
